لقد ظل الجنوب دوماً مسرحاً للعديد من انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان التي يرتكبها نظام صنعاء وقواه الأمنية ضد المواطنين في الجنوب شملت العديد من الأنتهاكات الغير إنسانية والتي وصل مداها الى أستخدام السلاح وقتل المئات منهم . إضافة إلى ذلك فاننا في الآونه الاخيرة نشهد بروز نماذج  أخرى من الإنتهاكات الجسيمة لحقوق الإنسان التي ترتكب بحق ابناء الجنوب , تتمثل في التدهور المتزايد في الأوضاع الأمنية والمعيشية للمواطنين , تلك الأوضاع التي أصبح المواطن يلمسها بشكل ظاهر ، مؤثرة على حياته اليومية من تدهور أمني وشحة في الإمدادات التموينية وإنقطاعات في الكهرباء والمياة والمحروقات ، بالأضافة الى الأستمرار في حملات الأعتقال والتعذيب والحصار وهدم المنازل الناتج عن استخدام السلاح الثقيل وسلاح الطيران . وهذا ماسجلته الأحداث المستمرة في مدينة زنجبار ومحيطها بمحافظة ابين , والذي ادى الى نزوح عشرات الآلاف من ساكنيها الى محافظتي عدن ولحج وغيرها من مناطق الجنوب الأخرى بحثاً عن الأمن والأمان, رغم مايعانوه من مآسي إنسانية جمه.  

أن التدهور الأمني الذي تشهده العديد من مناطق الجنوب ، تخللته العديد من الحوادث المسلحة التي راح ضحيتها عدداً من المواطنين ، علاوة على ما أحدثه ذلك الفراغ الأمني من خوف وقلق لدى الأهالي على حياتهم وحياة أسرهم وممتلكاتهم .

إن المرصد الجنوبي لحقوق الإنسان إذ يعرب عن بالغ قلقه من التدهور المتزايد في الأوضاع الأمنية والمعيشية في مناطق الجنوب ، وهو بذلك يحمل النظام اليمني مسئولية ما تتعرض له حقوق المواطنين وحرياتهم الأساسية من جراء تلك الأوضاع المتدهورة. وان جميع تلك الإنتهاكات ستضل شاهدة على سياسات النظام اليمني القمعية بحق أبناء الجنوب  ، وستجد طريقها إلى المنظمات الدولية المعنية بحماية حقوق الإنسان ، كونها إنتهاكات جسيمة لا يقبل التقادم بشأنها أمام القضاء العادل أكان المحلي أم الدولي .

The Southern Observatory Expresses Concern About the Deterioration of

Security and Living Conditions of Citizens in the South

The south has always been a scene of many human rights violations practiced by the Sana’a regime and its security forces against the citizens in the south, including many inhumane abuses that reached to the extent of the use of weapons for killing hundreds of peaceful citizens.

Recently, we have been witnessing emergences of other developments in the southern scene practiced by the Yemeni forces against the people of the south, represented in increasing the deterioration in the security and living conditions of the citizens there, as well as the continuous campaigns of detention, torture, siege, mass killings and house demolitions resulting from the use of heavy weapons and air force. This is what has been witnessed in the ongoing events in the city of Zanzibar and the surrounding areas in Abyan, which led to the displacement of tens of thousands of residents to the provinces of Aden and the Lahj and other areas of the south in search of safety and security, despite having many human tragedies.

The deteriorating security, which witnessed in many regions of the south, marked by several armed incidents which claimed the lives of a number of citizens, as well as the security vacuum that created a state of fear and concern among the people for their lives and the lives of their families and their properties.

The Southern Observatory for Human Rights expresses its deep concern at the increasing deterioration in the security and living conditions in the south, and holds the Yemeni regime responsible for what could be practiced against the citizens’ rights and fundamental freedoms as a result of such deteriorating conditions. All those violations will remain a witness to the Yemeni regime’s repressive policies against the people of the south, and will find their way to the international organizations concerned with the protection of human rights, for they are serious violations do not comply with the time limitations in front of judiciary; whether the domestic or international judiciary
