U.S. Secretary of State; Mrs. Hillary Clinton We are a group of citizens of South Yemen, and are proud to be U.S. citizens; we believe we can offer you some advices and information that we see important for use in the London Conference that would be held at the end of this month to discuss the matter of Yemeni crisis.
First:
Yemeni regime led by dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh which is a partner and a real supporter of terrorism, including al Qaeda, given that the half-brother of the current President Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar called is the spiritual ****** of al Qaeda in Yemen, where the current regime reserves many of the senior al Qaeda members for use if needed such as:
Abdul Majid al-Zindani
Jamal al-Badawi (accused of plotting the bombing of the USS Cole in 2001)
Anwar Aulaqi ... And others
Second:
Financial assistance provided to the Yemeni regime used to kill innocent citizens of South Yemen( the opposition of the regime), as well as the acquisition of financial help made in aid to Yemen for personal use.
Third:
We believe that a fair democratic state in South Yemen which rejects terrorism in all its forms ,sponsoring human’s and women's rights with the assistance of a European-American is the most appropriate solution for the stability of the region. We also believe that the recovery of the southern state would help maintain regional and global security as well as fighting piracy in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden. The people of South Yemen have the ability to cope with the new world order, globalization, market economy and the peaceful coexistence with the other religions. Therefore, we ask you to help us because the dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh would turn South Yemen into a den of terrorism, to kill two birds with one stone as:
A- Elimination of southern opposition and accuse them of terrorism.
B- Get more aid from America, Europe, and Arab Gulf countries under the pretext of combating terrorism. And therefore we affirm that there is no solution to the crisis of Yemen without discussing the case of South Yemen and having it in top of the agenda of the upcoming London Conference.
Fourth:
The people of South Yemen reject the outcome of the war of summer 1994, which by the dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh and assisting al-Qaeda invaded and took over South Yemen. Therefore, we demand the International Community to make calls to apply and implement UN Security Council Resolutions 924 and 931 for 1994.
